As Stanford Health Care prepared to open its new hospital in Palo Alto, a series of campus improvements were required to support safe and efficient operations on opening day. These projects focused primarily on exterior upgrades across the hospital campus, including roadway improvements, landscape enhancements, pedestrian access improvements, lighting upgrades, and other safety-related infrastructure.
JKL provided construction management services to support the activation effort. Our team monitored project schedules, performed quality assurance and quality control oversight, processed submittals, and coordinated field activities with contractors and campus stakeholders. We also managed RFI resolution, document control, and coordinated critical utility shutdowns to minimize disruption to hospital operations.
Through close coordination and proactive oversight, the work was successfully completed in preparation for the hospital’s opening, helping ensure safe access, improved circulation, and a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
