JKL Philanthropic Work
JKL Construction Services is committed to giving back by building Community Health through our services and resources. We proudly partner with organizations that support housing, healthcare, and food security.
Via West (formerly known as Camp Costanoan) provides respite care in a camp setting for individuals with special needs. JKL constructed a new sleep cabin from the ground up, designed to accommodate twenty-three beds, full restroom facilities, and dedicated counselor quarters.
The project expanded the camp’s capacity while maintaining a warm, supportive environment for residents and staff. JKL donated its time, overhead, and fee in support of Via West’s mission.
In addition to the new sleep cabin, JKL completed a roof replacement for Via West’s main cabin, helping preserve a central gathering space used daily by residents, staff, and caregivers.
The work improved the building’s long-term durability while minimizing disruption to camp operations, further supporting the organization’s ability to provide safe and reliable respite care.
JKL adopted Hope Rehabilitation Services to help improve their facility in San Jose, CA. Since that time, we have repainted student corridors, renovated the bathrooms, remodeled four kitchenettes, and resurfaced their two playgrounds. JKL donated all services and products to the center.
This project was the build-out of a play area. JKL donated services, labor and most of the material for the project. We reached out to the community by facilitating help with the construction from local high school students.
